Capoeira Angola Kids Class

Capoeira Angola is an Afro-Brazilian art form that incorporates elements of dance and music into movements.  Capoeira Angola is ideal for children because it encourages playful and spontaneous self-expression while encouraging teamwork and self-confidence.  Each class includes warm-up, drills, partner sequences, tumbling, games and music.  Students need no prior gymnastic or martial art experience. I enjoys having the opportunity to work with children, and sharing, not only the art of Capoeira Angola, but the music and culture of the art.

Camp information

We hope you join us this Summer for our  2016 Culture Summer Camp at the Capoeira Angola Center of Illinois in Urbana for a multi-cultural camp
experience. Each day kids will get a chance to enjoy interactive Spanish lessons, create arts and crafts from different countries, learn about Latin American culture, and get moving with Capoeira—an Afr0-Brazilian martial-arts dance form. Campers will also explore the arts with Action Jackson Comics, and take a field trip to the I.D.E.A. store where students can select materials for one of our projects, and have lunch in the park weather permitting. Bring a sack lunch and wear comfortable clothes.
